The Only Vegas March Madness Viewing Parties You Need to Know About

With Kentucky currently the even-odds favorite to take it all in this year’s NCAA Tournament (hey, even our Commander in Chief picked them!) filling out your bracket might not be so hard. Finding the best spot to watch the games with your boys? That’s a different story. Sports books will be packed with cheering fans for the tourney’s first round March 19-22 as visitors place the first of an estimated $200 million in bets. Everyone and their mother will be offering March Madness deals this weekend, but we’ve done the hard work for you by separating out the cream of the crop. Now all you have to think about is which prop bet to take.

Best Sportsbook Party: Hoops Central at the Westgate

They don’t call it the SuperBook for nothing. This 30,000-square-foot behemoth, the largest sports book in the world, boasts 60 screens and is a classic choice for catching the action. As at most sports books, admission is free. The party spills over into the Westgate Theater during March 19-22, where you can wash down your $2 hot dogs with $3 Budweiser beers, and receive a complimentary March Madness T-shirt with a $25 wager on second-round parlay cards.

Best Street Party: Downtown Hoopstown

Downtown’s Fremont Street Experience pulls out all the stops with a free, month-long March Madness street party that lasts through April 8. Check out the nightly Hardwood Hotties stage show featuring American Idol finalist Haley Scarnato, or practice your shot in the High Hoops Zone as a massive, live-updated bracket winks down from the LED canopy overhead.

Best Package Deal: Hard Rock Hotel

At the Hard Rock, they understand that you can only spend so much time in front of the TV before it’s time to hit the (day)club. Book a room for March 19, 20 or 21 and get free admission for two to a Rehab Spring Break pool party. The deal also comes with $10 off a ticket to the Tournament Madness viewing party at The Joint (regular price: $75), with bottomless Bud Light drafts, giant screens and more.

Best Two-Sport Experience: Brooklyn Bowl

For all y’all multitaskers out there, Brooklyn Bowl offers the Basketbowl package, with two bowling lanes, a bar food and breakfast buffet with all-you-can-chug beer and well drinks for up to 16 people, and a personal viewing 9′ x 20′ viewing screen, so you can score a strike while you cheer on your team. It’s available at $2,595 per day from March 19-21. The $185 GA tickets come with perks, too, including beer pong, buffet food and halftime shot specials.

Best Place to Get Your Game On: Hoops & Hops at The Cosmopolitan

Start your own pickup game on The Chelsea ballroom’s hardwood basketball court, or test your other skills with blackjack, shuffleboard, pinball and darts. The party starts at 8:30 a.m. on March 19-21 and also includes the requisite multiple TV screens, plus three drink vouchers for general admission and unlimited cocktails for VIP ticketholders. Prices start at $65.

Best Spot to Rent a Man Cave: Hoops on the Mezz at Planet Hollywood

Overlooking the casino floor, the Planet Hollywood mezzanine offers cushy private viewing areas at $2,000 for nine people, a relative bargain by March Mayhem standards. Along with the living room-like setting, your man cave includes an open bar, plus a higher-end buffet than that available to the folks in GA. And with packages available March 19-22, It’s also one of a few venues where the party extends through Sunday.

Best Eye Candy: Crazy Horse III

Hoops and Hotties is the name of Crazy Horse III’s March Madness party, and really, do you need to know anything else? Through April 6, the popular gentleman’s club is offering $20 Budweiser beer buckets, plus game-time bottle specials…not to mention the best excuse ever for getting distracted and missing a key play. And like any good strip club, they’ll pick up your crew in a limo so you can arrive in style.
