OFFICIAL
REVIEW OF TAO NIGHTCLUB
by Jack Colton, Updated
10/20/2007
TAO Nightclub is easily one of the top five nightclubs
in the United States, and is widely considered a favorite by locals
and visitors alike. Millions of dollars were poured into the construction
and décor of this milestone of Las Vegas entertainment,
and it is evident throughout every corner of the nightclub. I
can easily say that TAO Nightclub is the most
bang for your buck, as far as the Las Vegas nightclub experience
is concerned, and would highly recommend that everyone put this
on their “must visit” list.

KNOW
WHAT TO EXPECT....
by Jack Colton, Updated
10/15/2007
There is
nothing worse than not knowing what you are getting into when
you plan a night out. If you are arriving to Tao Nightclub
either on the guest list or as a general admission customer,
you can expect a wait of up to an hour (or more on holiday weekends).
So that there isn't any problem getting into the club once at
the rope, gentlemen should make sure to wear a collared
shirt or sport coat. The main room of the club can be crowded
at times, but is best enjoyed by reserving table service or finding
a nice resting spot along the bar in the mainroom.

When you arrive to TAO Nightclub you will more
than likely have come up the escalator from the Venetian
casino floor. If you have reserved a table go to your
right and you will be able to speak with one of the VIP
Hosts to let them know that your party has arrived. Try and
be patient as this area is often flooded with people who are trying
to convince the doormen that they know someone and should be let
in without waiting in line.
Otherwise
you will need to go to your left and select one of two lines to
wait in. If you are a general admission customer stay in the line
closest to the balcony. If you are on the guest list, then the
middle line is for you.
*TIP:
TAO is a pretty difficult
club to talk your way into as your access to the doormen is fairly
limited. If you do not have a table reservation you can usually
expect about a 45 minute wait to get in. Even if you are
on the guest list. As always, try and get there somewhat early
to help avoid a long wait.
Once
you pass through the velvet ropes of TAO you
will be immersed into a world of hectic sensual beauty. You will
go up an elevator one floor and will immediately be greeted by
a staff member who will cordially welcome you to TAO.
There is a bar directly in front of you, and it might be a good
idea to stop there for drinks
as this bar is significantly less packed then the other ones in
the club. From there you will turn around and walk straight through
a hallway filled with models sensually receiving back massages.
Yea, back massages. Straight ahead will take you into TAO’s
impressive main room, and what you see is definitely what you
get. This room is filled to the walls with beautiful people, performing
model, and an excellent array of music mixed by the resident DJ.
The restrooms will be straight ahead and to your right.

If
you don't want to wait in line to take a piss, walk back out into
the hallway that you came in through and you will see a set of
stairs to your left. Walk down the stairs and you will now be
in what is considered “the lounge.” If you squeeze
to your left between the DJ booth and the stairs
and follow that around you will find the second set of restrooms.
To exit the club you will have to go through the lounge and back
out into where you waited in line. Not before you pass through
six (6) beautiful models bathing in rose petals in the hallway
to leave the club.

When
to go to TAO: Thursday
(best night), Friday, and Saturday nights are when the club is
fully open for business. Wednesday night is Tao's lounge night,
and only the downstairs portion of the club is open.
How
to get to TAO: TAO Nightclub is in the upstairs
area of the Venetian shops that are above the casino floor. If
you go through the main casino valet walk along the outer front
side of the casino until you find the other main set of doors.
Go up the escalator and you will be at TAO.
Dress
Code: TAO has somewhat of a strict but relaxed
dress code. Ironically though, you will get through the doormen
without question, and then get crap from security inside. Play
it safe and don't wear ANY kind of hats.
