I’m
pleased that JackColton.com is consistently featured as the ultimate
insider guide to Las Vegas nightlife by medias such as the Travel
Channel, USA Today, Forbes,
MSNBC, Vegas Magazine, AOL,
LA Times, NY Times, and a number
of other national and locally accredited publications.
Positive press
mentions and passionate word-of-mouth are the reason this site
has been so successful in reaching so many Las Vegas visitors,
and I always gladly accept interview and information requests
– no matter how large or small the media. If
you would like to arrange for an email or phone interview,
please feel free to send a request to colton@jackcolton.com.

Travel
Channel – Nightlife Advisor. 08/07 -10/07
I randomly get an email from the producers of the Travel Channel’s
“Vegas Do’s and Don’ts” at about 11AM
asking if I can make it over to the Luxor by 12:30PM to be filmed
talking about what makes Las Vegas nightclubs so popular, to suggest
tips for getting in quicker, etc. I get in the car, head over,
film, and forget about it. Months later I start getting all of
these text messages and emails saying “dude, I saw you on
the Travel channel!” I check the schedule and eventually
see the show where one of my best quotes on there (with a picture
of Pure in the background) is “clubs market nationally by
having Britney Spears being filmed passed out in the back of their
clubs, and by Paris Hilton doing whatever it is that she needs
to do.” Ha!

MSNBC.com
/ Forbes Travel
I’m definitely an avid reader of MSNBC.com, no question
about it. So when I accidentally saw myself featured on the main
page of their travel section, I was more than happy to say the
least. How badass is that? It’s like a nerds version of
being on Oprah. Or something like that. At any rate, this dully
published Forbes Travel article highlighted JackColton.com as
the best resource available for getting “insider secrets”
on Las Veas nightlife.

USAToday.com
I found about this one through the little nifty google gadget
that sends me an email anytime my name (or website) is used within
any accredited news feature. The article is talking about LAX
opening, and eventually highlights JackColton.com as a great resource
for candid reviews of Las Vegas nightlife.

AOL
| Robin Leach’s column - March 2007
Robin Leach is going back on vacation and, again, kindly asked
me to write a column for him on the topic of the future of Las
Vegas nightlife. In this article I discuss the how Vegas nightlife
is influencing venues across the globe.

Vegas
Magazine – June 2007
Being featured in Vegas magazine, in any fashion, is quite an
honor. So when I got the call from the publisher that they would
be featuring me as one of the four (4) leading members of Las
Vegas nightlife - I was especially honored to say the least! A
friend of mine, Eric Gladstone, was the writer of the article,
and we did the photoshoot at JET. Very pleased with the way everything
came out, and I’d love to thank photoshop for my gleaming
tan!

944
/ SpyOnVegas.com
I’ve had a couple of things (sort of) make 944 recently,
so I’ll just group them together for the sake of sparing
you boring details. The first was when they kindly named me one
of the 30 hottest movers in shakers in Las Vegas under the age
of 30, the second was a full page of photos dedicated to my celebration
event at Bare for the 20 Most Beautiful People: Summer edition.

Las
Vegas Weekly
I’m not sure that it’s technically fair to claim coverage
in the Las Vegas Weekly since I’m technically on their payroll,
but the fact of the matter is that I’m listed in there (as
a writer or mentioned within a feature) at least 2 or 3 times
a month.

Strip
Magazine, September 2006:
“They’re calling you the next Robin Leach of the MySpace
generation” an editor for Strip Magazine tells me on the
phone, “and I want to have someone write about you immediately!”
Count me in. Ironically enough, Robin Leach’s assistant,
Ali Nehkorn, was assigned to write this piece on me, and by now
Ali and I are good friends. We decided it convenient to meet me
in my hotel suite at the Venetian on our way to TAO to do the
interview. Hopefully
the cocktails didn’t cloud the quality of the interview!
Haha.

Body
English “English 101” Award, 10.21.06:
I’ve been attending Body English’s weekly “Sunday
School” party nightly for nearly 3.5 years, so anytime I
am a part of the night’s event I’m more than excited.
On Sunday, October 21st 2006 that was the case as I, along with
twelve others were honored as the top entertainment writers in
town. And in true Body English style, they gave us each engraved
Movado desk sets to make sure we felt special. Thanks guys.

Robin
Leach | AOL - July 2006
I got a call from Robin Leach’s assistant, Ali Nehkorn,
saying that Robin was standing right behind her and was “very
impressed” about what he was seeing on JackColton.com. Later
we emailed back and forth, and he eventually invited me to join
George Maloof, Wolfgang Puck, Michael Boychuck, and the like to
write a guest column for him while he was on vacation. I, of course,
jumped at the chance to write for Robin Leach and the rest is,
well, history.

Richard
Abowitz | LA Times, July 2006:
While those
throughout Las Vegas nightlife were beginning to embrace the project,
I realized that I was now considered “media,” and
that a little skepticism of anything I produced or contributed
was to be expected. A bit of “who the hell is this guy;”
if you will. I couldn’t help but to notice that this mention
in the LA Times (and a similar one in the NY Times) seemed to
both support and question my informational value. Regardless,
as a friend of mine at Vegas Magazine said at the time “You’ve
now officially been noticed.” I guess I’ll take that.
(It’s important to mention Richard Abowitz and I now occasionally
communicate back and forth on various pieces one another are working
on).
