REVIEW OF LIGHT NIGHTCLUB

As one of
the first mega-clubs to cater to a more upscale clientele in Las
Vegas, Light Nightclub has arguably changed the Las Vegas nightlife
industry forever. This 7,000 square foot venue located at the
northern valet entrance of the Bellagio Hotel & Casino features
two very unique characteristics. They don’t have an actual
line, and they go well out of their way to cater to bachelorette
parties celebrating the upcoming big night. You will find the
best looking local crowd at Light on Sunday nights, but certainly
should keep Light on your list for Friday and Saturday as well.
A
VIRTUAL WALKTHROUGH:
When you
arrive to Light Nightclub, you will walk up to a huge crowd of
people fighting to get the lead doorman’s attention. This
is one of the only clubs in Las Vegas that doesn’t have
an actual “line” to get in, but rather has an area
where the lead doorman selects who he wants to come in by scanning
the line. Obviously this is meant to keep the crowd inside of
a “higher quality,” and make you feel like you should
win an Academy Award if you are lucky enough to be rushed past
everyone waiting. To the right of the line is the table reservation
and special guest area. As the name suggests, if you have reserved
a table at Light, this is where you will check in with your host.
*Tip
for getting into Light quicker: 1) Reserve a table
in advance. 2) Tip
the Doorman. 3) Hire a VIP
Hosting company to walk your party in. Or 4) Get there early.
As you pass
through the cashier on the way into Light, you will be greeted
by one of the most elaborate nightclub entrances that I have seen
in any Las Vegas venue. You will take a short ride up an escalator
surrounded by red velvet drapery, pass through a hallway sensually
lit by oversized red candles, and will walk directly into Light’s
packed main room. There will be a bar immediately to your right.
I would recommend stopping at this one to grab a drink at, as
it is far less crowded than the main bar across the room.
*TIP:
If you are a girl who has been practicing for years on a stripper
pole just in case the opportunity to dance in front of a large
crowd ever arises; you are totally in luck. There are six (6)
stripper poles throughout the dance floor for you to show off
your moves to everyone in the club on.

to get to Light: If you are taking a Taxi, just tell
them to take you to Light. If you are arriving by your own car,
the club is located near the northern valet entrance of the Bellagio
Hotel and Casino. If you are driving east on Flamingo towards
the Strip, it will be on your right just before you get to Las
Vegas Blvd.
