REVIEW OF JET NIGHTCLUB by Jack Colton, Updated

As one of
the more high-energy nightclubs in Las Vegas, JET is designed
to constantly stimulate your senses and to throw you straight
in the middle of the action at all times. Those who enjoy running
into the occasional celebrity, and who have enjoyed going to Light
Nightclub (newly remodeled as the Bank) in the past will
enjoy JET Nightclub the most. JET has installed
a number of video monitors throughout their mainroom, and often
throws some of the most creative events in Las Vegas. If you are
planning on partying at JET Nightclub on a Saturday Night, I would
highly recommend reserving a table as this is their busiest night
of the week, and you will certainly prefer having a place to sit.

KNOW

There is
nothing worse than not knowing what you are getting into when
you plan a night out. If you are arriving to JET Nightclub
either on the guest list or as a general admission customer,
you can expect a wait of up to an hour (or more on holiday weekends).
So that there isn't any problem getting into the club once at
the rope, gentlemen should be careful not to be too casually
dressed. Due to the layout of the main room, it sometimes
takes a bit of patience to get around the club as there can be
a couple of traffic jams from all of the people working their
way around. Just be patient and drink more. JET is best enjoyed
by reserving table service or finding a nice resting spot along
the bar in the mainroom.
A
VIRTUAL WALKTHROUGH:
You will walk up to a line that stretches somewhere into South
America (this is the “invited guest” line), a somewhat
shorter line (the pay line), and of course the massive “table
reservation” chaos to the right of the door. If you are
a General Admission customer or are simply on the guest list,
just plan on it taking a while to get in.
*TIP:
It might be a good idea to purchase a table for your group. JET
isn’t a “foot traffic” friendly nightclub, and
you will probably have a better time if you have a place to sit
down that is out of the way from all of the crowd (and staff)
trying to get around the club. Otherwise get to JET Nightclub
by 10:30pm or so. This will somewhat alleviate the headache of
getting into the club.
Once on the
other side of the rope you will enter the main room. If you have
ever been to JET’s sister club Light at the Bellagio, JET
is virtually identical in layout. Go ahead and plan on making
an immediate left, because the first person you will encounter
in the club will be a security guard “urging” you
to walk clockwise around the club. Walking straight ahead towards
the corner, you will find the “house room.” It would
be a good idea to grab a drink at the bar inside of this room
before you try and navigate the rest of JET, as this bar is the
least packed. When you walk out of the house room you will walk
straight ahead into the packed main room. If you continue straight
ahead you will pass the main bar and head to the bathrooms. Turn
to your right and the “Rock Room” will be straight
ahead to your left.
Typically
the most interesting people, good looking girls, and least packed
bars are in JET’s two side rooms. That said; it might be
a good idea for you to plan on hanging out or booking a table
reservation in one of these two rooms (depending of course on
your music tastes).
INFORMATION
ABOUT JET NIGHTCLUB:
When
to go to JET Nightclub: Monday (best night), Friday,
and Saturday Nights. I would suggest getting there early (10:30-11PM).
How
to get to JET Nightclub: JET Nightclub is located inside
of the Mirage Hotel and Casino. If you are traveling by taxi,
they should let you out at the rear entrance right next to the
club. If you are driving your own car, simply park in the self-park
garage and you will walk straight into it when you walk into the
Mirage.
Dress
Code: JET has a ‘fashionable’ dress code
policy, so you should be fine with anything that at least appears
like you intended on going out to a Las Vegas Nightclub. As always,
watch out for your shoes.
What
to do after the club: Continue the party by heading over
to Rainbow Bar and Grill (Across from the Hard Rock Hotel), and
then to Seamless After hours.
