Biography: Born in Las Vegas during the summer of 1982, Jack Colton grew up within a family that seemingly had at least some sort of a connection with every major “mover and shaker” within the Las Vegas Valley of the time. His Father worked along side the likes of Steve Wynn, Bruce Woodbury, Don Ashcroft, and Ralph Lamb. His Mother had a little black book that included many of the real-life notorious Vegas names that the blockbuster movie “Casino” starring Robert Deniro were based upon (Frank Rosenthal, Tony Spilatro, Frank Ellis, and the Stewart family – who, as a matter of fact, are Colton and his sister’s God Parents).

In 1990, Colton’s family moved from all of the bright lights and decadent action that Las Vegas provided them, and settled into a town with a bustling population of 3,000 – Muldrow, Oklahoma. After five (5) years of living amongst an entirely different “country” lifestyle, Colton’s family moved to college-town Norman, Oklahoma where they remain to this day.

At age 15, Colton took a payroll coordinator position within his father’s trucking business. By the age of 16, Colton became heavily involved in the quickly growing “internet boom” by developing slick startups such as the shopping network “NationalDeals.com,” and adult networking provider “Nighttalks.com” (both now defunct). Three years later, Colton’s company “DoConnections” had two office locations, was responsible for portions of the State of Oklahoma’s tourism ad campaigns, and actively assisted in the production and promotion of eight (8) major concert events each year.

At nineteen years old, Jack Colton was the youngest member of the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce, and proudly served alongside State Senators and fellow business owners on the State Tourism, Aviation, and Art’s & Humanities Committees. Randall Turk of the Norman Transcript described Colton as “the true definition of the modern business trends to come in years hence.”

In March of 2003, Colton closed shop in Oklahoma and returned to Las Vegas for greater entrepreneurial challenges and to completely immerse himself into the entertainment side of the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World.’ Not wanting to capitalize on his family name (which very few people actually know) or his parent’s vast connections throughout the Las Vegas Valley, he took a position as a Street Promoter passing out flyers for Seven Nightclub. Three months later Colton was the Director of Venue Marketing for the club, and later the Marketing Director for both Seven and Men, The Show.

Resigning Seven in late 2004, Colton wanted to get back into the swing of business again, but ended up starting a complete 2 year immersion into the Las Vegas nightlife scene. Almost every night of the week, he and his friends would be patrons of some of the most sought after nightclubs on the planet, and Colton was taking a lot of notes for the project that would be his first return to the business world in three (3) years – nightlife publication JackColton.com.

Immediately following the June 2006 launch of JackColton.com, “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” creator Robin Leach invited Jack Colton to join the likes of Lance Burton, Wolfgang Puck, and George Maloof in writing a guest column on his popular AOL editorial “The Luxe Life” about how to be a ‘true VIP’ in Las Vegas. Features in The LA Times, The NY Times, on the main page of AOL.com, Strip LV Magazine, Kiss Magazine, and in UrbanMonarch.com soon followed. Not surprisingly, JackColton.com was almost immediately considered one of the most popular 500,000 websites in the world by internet rating provider Alexa.com (currently number 240,070 to be exact). In January of 2007, Colton was honored as one of the top "30 under 30" by Light Nightclub and 944 Magazine - a celebration of the top 30 movers and shakers in the Las Vegas Valler under the age of 30.

Colton is currently continuing work on the popular JackColton.com project, is a contributing writer to the Las Vegas Weekly, Strip Magazine, and enjoys many co-promotions with area media outlets.

Disclaimer from Colton: It was brought to my attention that I needed to have a solid biography for this site, others, and as a fact sheet for the press. I had Damara De Stefanos write this. My apologies for the serious tone.
