The 2006 list
of the “20 Most Beautiful People in Las Vegas” is
a perfect example that everyone has an entire different viewpoint
on beauty. After all, this list came together after Kelly Guldi
and I were mutually dissatisfied with the “Las Vegas Most
Beautiful People” list that the Las Vegas Weekly
had published in their May 11th-17th issue. We felt we could do
a better job. And the Weekly was even a good enough of a sport
to publish our nominations in their magazine.
We didn’t
have any fancy voting systems, and there weren’t any headline
grabbing cash prizes for the winners. Call it a “grassroots
competition.” We had just over a hundred nominations, thousands
of votes by friends of the competing beauties, and the winners
had to be more than just a hot body – they also had to be
“sexy on the inside.” After many tireless hours of
reviewing the votes, the nominations, and keeping true to her
criteria; 10 women and 10 men
were chosen. These are Kelly Guldi’s final
selections for the 20 Most Beautiful People in Las Vegas Nightlife
for 2006:
Angela
Beattie - Body English
Angela shows absolutely no regret for melting the hearts of the
many thousands who have the chance to see the Hard Rock Hotel
billboards that she graces all over Las Vegas, and even less remorse
for causing anyone who has the opportunity to meet her in person
suddenly finding themselves horribly weak in the knees. As one
of the most notable faces of Body
English, Angela Beattie was a “shoe in” to top
the list of the Most Beautiful People in Las Vegas.
Adam
Drell - Tryst
Known for presenting you with his killer smile, this fairly new
Las Vegas resident has already made it well known that he is kicking
ass and taking names. As one of the lead hosts at Tryst
Nightclub inside of the Wynn Hotel and Casino, Adam has plenty
of opportunities to put on well made suit and make many a lady
fall over after receiving his patent pending grin. You should
be ashamed Adam!
Tiffany
Masters
Most people who know, or who know of, Tiffany Masters are catatonically
stunned by her beauty and commanding precense. She is just one
of those kinds of people. And in the world of Las Vegas Nightlife,
where clubs bend over backwards to attract beautiful blonde women
to their venues, Tiffany Masters gives them plenty of extra reasons
to fight one another for her attendance at their club on any given
night of the week. As a popular nightlife columnist, successful
event promoter, and celebrity VIP host - Tiffany has both brains
AND beauty.
Jack
Lafleur - Human Events
Girls want to be with him, guys want to be him...and unless you
have been hiding under a rock somewhere in the desert, you probably
have seen Jack Lafleur sporting his rock hard abs on one of the
many Rehab Pool Party billboards, magazine ads, and e-mail advertisements
that float around Las Vegas. Not only did Jack make the JackColton.com
"2006 Most Beautiful" list, he also is featured on the
"2006 Most Influential" list. This man is unstoppable!
Ali
Nehrkorn - Robin Leach
It isn't Ali's flowing hair, gorgeous physique, or mind-massaging
smile that leave the biggest impression on you immediately after
meeting her; it's her "I absolutely love life and am going
to get the most out of it" attitude. As the personal assistant
to the legendary Robin Leach, Ali Nehrkorn is constantly able
to make her mark on the Las Vegas entertainment scene with class,
beauty, and style.
Brett
Rubin
Brett Rubin won't hesitate to tell you exactly what he is thinking
at any moment in time, and apparently scores of beautiful women
don't have any reservations about telling you just how good looking
they feel Brett Rubin is. As a co-owner of the very popular "Cabaret
Cocktail Boutique" in Chicago, Brett decided to try his luck
out west and has quickly made his mark on the Las Vegas nightlife
scene. Planning on taking over the world Brett?
Gigi
- JET
With an amazing personality, Angelina Jolie's lips, and having
a body that would even make a barbie doll feel self-consicous
- Gigi is more than just a MySpace super celebrity (who has 20,000
friends? I mean honestly?), she is also a Las Vegas nightlife
icon.
Jason
Habel - Body English
Frequently mistaken for the 90's Supermodel "Fabio,"
Jason Habel is one of those people who out of the thousands you
will run into a nightly basis, you absolutely can't possibly forget
meeting. With his perfect tan, flowing hair, and closet full of
high-end suits; Jason was an easy pick for this list. If you are
visiting the ever popular Body
English nightclub inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, make
sure to congratulate Jason on being so damned beautiful!
Kristin
McCormick
As the July centerfold for the very sexy "Strip Magazine,"
the cover girl on the nationally promoted "Sorority School
Girls" DVD, and one of the finalist for Area 108's "Sexiest
Leg's Competition," Kristin McCormick has officially announced
to the world that she is hot as hell and isn't one bit afraid
to show it.
Carey
Hart - Hart & Huntington Tattoo
As a well-known professional motocross racer, star of the popular
reality show "Inked," owner of Hart and Huntington Tattoo
shop, husband of superstar singer Pink, and as an all around badass
- Carey Hart is one very busy man. But why is he included as one
of the most beautiful people in Las Vegas? It's because girls
won't freaking shut up about him. Damn it Carey.
Tracy
Lee - NapkinNights.com
Tracy Lee probably has more frequent flyer miles than the Pope.
As the co-owner of NapkinNights.com,
this outgoing beauty is constantly traveling between the six (6)
cities where her nightlife publication reigns supreme, and she
shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Tracy seems to be
even more beautiful than normal lately. New hair? No. New shoes?
Probably, but it isn't those. Hmmmm.
Josh
Abston - Jet
Josh Abston is widely made fun of as the "pretty boy of the
Light Group." But judging by his incredibly impressive lineup
of modeling work, magazine features, and appearance on the nationally
acclaimed "Average Joe" reality show - I don't think
he minds the scrutiny.
Mahsheed
- Prudential Real Estate
The fact that Mahsheed is a close friend of mine had absolutely
nothing to do with the fact that hundreds of people voted for
her to be included in Kelly's list. As the sister of world-renowned
DJ Farsheed, Mahsheed has worked incredibly hard to show the world
just exactly how beautiful and talented she is as well. Do you
think it runs in the family?
ERIC
ITA - Professional Model
This Nigerian native never misses an opportunity to take off his
shirt and make sure the world sees his face. He actually even
considered hiring people to walk around the Strip wearing shirts
with him on them.
Luckily he scrapped that plan, but you've probably still run across
Eric posing half-naked for an ad inside one of your favorite magazines,
seen him strutting on the runway wearing today's finest clothes,
or even seen him in the background of one of this year's summer
blockbuster movies.
Jennifer
Doyle - Jack Daniels
Everyone likes Jack. They like Jack Colton, they love Jack Lafleur,
and they absolutely can not live without Jack Daniels. That brings
us to one of the most beautiful people to grace the Nevada desert
- Jack Daniel's supermodel Jennifer Doyle. Frequently seen promoting
millions of dollars worth of exciting new products at various
Las Vegas conventions, barrel racing horses, and riding dirt bikes
- Jennifer Doyle has an arsenal of talents that most can only
dream of.
Jimmy
Greenup - Tao
Jimmy is most often seen around Las Vegas wearing some of the
most stylishly unique outfits that many would agree only he could
pull off. As another great creation to come from the lovely state
of Michigan, Jimmy Greenup has a solid chance of being known as
the most energetic, crazy, and FUN guy in Las Vegas. How fun is
he? Tao Nightclub pays
him an exorbant amount of money to serve as the clubs "mood
director." Way to go Jimmy!
Kelly
Buchanon - Pure
She cocktails at Pure Nightclub,
sleeps about an hour, and then bartends at Tangerine. How Kelly
finds the time to stay so ridiculously beautiful is completely
beyond us. Tell us Kelly, what is your secret?
Orlando
Oquendo - Jet Nightclub
As the Operations Director of Jet
Nightclub, Orlando spends about 90% of his time making sure
that everything goes smoothly at one of the top clubs in Las Vegas.
When he isn't keeping employees under control, he is DJing to
crowds of adoring fans all around Las Vegas. When he isn't DJing
at the other hotspots around Vegas, he is out networking and having
a goodtime at them. Although nobody has actually seen Orlando
OUTSIDE of a nightclub, he has made it clear that he is a man
to be reckoned with in the Las Vegas nightlife scene, and that
he doesn't feel the slightest bit bad for melting the hearts of
the thousands of women he runs into in his nightlife circuit each
week.
Sean
Charsley - Body English &
Gangster Clothing
I've seen cheetahs chase their prey in the wild, watched jackrabbits
sprint across the wide open praries of Oklahoma, and have been
known to visit an Indianapolis 500 or two. But absolutely none
of those quench my need for speed like watching Sean Charsley
behind the parlor room bar of Body English. It's ridiculous. He
will have an order of 15 drinks delivered before I can say "Can
I grab a Long Island?"
